I am Janet Johnson, a 6th grade reading teacher, who believes Jeffery Schatzer is one of the best presenters and speakers I have ever heard. I have attended at least a half dozen of Jeffery's presentations, and I have come away every time full of creative ideas that Jeffery has passed along that work wonderfully in my classroom. Not only are Jeffery's books excellent classroom aides, but his writing ideas are phenomenal!
My students and grandchildren love to go see the "real" Santa Claus. Even 6th graders have smiles of joy on their faces. Jeffery reads aloud with personality and great voice which keeps every child immersed in the story. Jeffrey's chapter book, Fires in the Wilderness, was purchased by many of my 6th graders at one of Jeffrey's presentations, and the students preceded to read with total abandonment. One of my students who did not like to read on her free time read his book in two days, and I had a reader in my classroom till the end of the year. Jeffery Schatzer would be a delightful addition to any school's resources. janet johnson 6th grade teacher Pine Street Elementary Wayland, Michigan 49348 (269) 792-1127

To Whom It May Concern: Our K to 5 elementary school had Jeffrey Schatzer visit last year. His presentation was enjoyed by all the students as well as the staff. I would highly recommend a visit.

We had such a great day. We appreciate the materials Jeff is pulling together and recognize his generous offer.
Margaret, my co-teacher, and I were so grateful with the way you revisited doing your best job and that revising and editing are very important. The message was heard. Thank you! The kids are writing up a storm! We had a parent get "mobbed" this morning to spend time listening to their writings.
Kind regards,

I thought this might be something you would like to see! Last Friday, our school celebrated 'National Library Week' with a 'Books Alive Day!' Our third graders run mock elections and then practice legislature proceedings in their studies. One of our 'senators' submitted a bill to hold a Books Alive Day where students/staff could dress as their favorite book character. It was passed!
A second grader, Drew Martin (our principal's son), chose Professor Tuesday as his favorite character and I was sure you would love to see his 'character impersonation!'
I've been receiving many favorable comments since your author visit here at List. Students and grown-ups alike are waiting for the next book in your series!!
